World’s Funniest Fart
Investigating what makes the funniest fart
Oldest running comic book publisher, Beano, worked with us to determine what makes the funniest fart. We worked with scientist Dr Helen Pilcher Phd to help us understand what makes flatulence funny and, with assistance from ‘voiceover f-artist’ Grant Leat (plus a team of Beano boffins) they studied recordings of 176 different farting noises, from low to high pitch, short to long, dry to wet and from loud to squeaking.
The campaign exploded with coverage on major news sites, interviews on BBC radio and broadcast coverage.
